How much is the pregnancy test?

At The Women's Help Center all pregnancy tests are FREE and confidential.

I already took a pregnancy test at home; do I have to take another one?

The over the counter tests are sometimes inaccurate. You can come in and we will give you a test at no charge to you.

How do I set up an appointment for a pregnancy test?

Call our office at 225-359-9001(or Toll Free: 855-696-2333) Monday thru Thursday 9:00am-4:00pm

How long does the process take?

Approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

Do you provide the abortion pill?

No. We do not provide the abortion pill.

Do you perform ultrasounds?

Yes; however, only for clients who test positive for pregnancy in our office.

Do you perform HIV Testing?

No, we partner with Metro Health of Baton Rouge who can perform a free, confidential test in our office. Please call 225-359-9001 (or Toll Free: 855-696-2333) to set up an appointment.

Do you do STD Testing?

No. Call or come by our office and pick up a list of the agencies that perform STD Testing.

Can you help me with placing my baby for adoption?

We are not an adoption agency, but we can refer you to one.

Can someone force me to have an abortion?

No. You have the right to choose. If you feel you are being coerced into having an abortion by ANYONE—your parents, your boyfriend, your best friend, a doctor, a teacher---anyone at all, please know that you have the right to make the decision to keep your baby.

Can I make an appointment for GYN services?

No. We do not provide any gynecological services other than verifying pregnancy.

Do you provide birth control?

No. We do not provide contraceptives.
